Homeless for the Holidays

December 21, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Many artists, musicians, performers in the creative community are facing eviction right now from their alternative live/work spaces. Many more have already been struggling to find affordable homes that is hitting many in the Bay Area.  A small protest is happening tonight which we thought we would bring to your attention:

Homeless for the Holidays

It’s been a long couple months… come celebrate with your community on the steps of City Hall.

The twin cities of San Francisco and Oakland have donated 100 blankets to warm those chilly nights in your tent or squat, and have promised to issue temporary ‘Urban Camping’ passes to the first 50 Artists to apply.*

When: Wednesday Dec 21 2016, 5PM – 7PM PT
Where: SF City Hall
What: We are having a short, two-hour campout at City Hall to draw attention to the bevy of recent additions to the Bay Area’s growing Homeless Family.

Facebook Event Page

BRING: tents, things to keep warm, CAKE, extra clothing, blankets, hot toddies, contributions of holiday candy, massages, music making, merriment, etc. (Did we mention CAKE?)

We welcome all recently displaced, homeless advocates and their supporters.

*Applicants must bring proof of former residency and 2 years previous tax returns to be eligible.
