Oakland Community & Economic Development Committee Meeting
January 10, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm
Council Chambers – 3rd Floor
Kaplan is bringing forth legislation to the Community & Economic Development Committee Meeting on January 10, 2017 to increase relocation payments for tenants displaced for code compliance repairs, expand eligibility for such payments, and provide a right of return.
The CEDC meets from 1:30-4:00pm in the Sgt. Mark Dunakin room, on the first floor of City Hall.
Please join us. We’re interested in finding out how comprehensive these tenant protections are, and what else the City Council can do to help us in this time of extreme housing instability. We’d like Kaplan to support our Emergency Tenant Protection Ordinance: https://goo.gl/uH8V8s. It goes hand-in-hand with her existing legislation. Please review the Common-Language Summary on Pages 11-14, and check out the WHEREAS for talking points.
Be respectful. And hold our Council to task.
